| I've
just finished my first year at AMU and am completely
satisfied with the experience. For instance, I changed majors without
a headache. As a matter of fact, it was completed
in a couple of days and all I had to
do was reply to a couple of emails. The schoolwork
is what you make of it, because you aren't being
lectured it solely relies on you to get the most
out of it. I like the flexibility to spend a
whole weekend doing homework, and virtually finishing half of an
8-week class in 2 days. And because there aren't breaks
for holidays and the such, I'm not pressured to get
things done early. In terms of my degree program, AMU
is the most comprehensive degree course I've ever seen. My
degree program is in Intelligence Studies, and have yet to
find another school with the same coursework. Yes, some of
the classes, especially the general studies bloc seem very infantile
and uninspiring, the fact that military Tuition Assistance pays 100%
makes it very easy to deal with. Overall it is
a great school that expects the best out of its
students, for instance, my last class I got a 89.9%.
A 90% would have given me a 4.0 for the
class. Think of it what you will, but diplomas aren't
just thrown around in this school.

Responses| AMU has a tough grading system. A 90% would only be a 3.675, not a 4.0. A student has to make a grade of 94% or above to earn a 4.0. |
| Yeah, That is because it's a degree mill and the classes are so easy! A tough grading system? No way, students have been passed through just to make a dollar. Compare your workload with a traditional brick and mortar campus, and it just won't add up. Of course they're going to give every moron and A just to pass you through. You are right, there isn't any pressure to do anything, especially think! |

Yeah, you have a serious mental issue or major agenda. I hate to inform you shills that AMU work load is on par with a brick and mortar if not surpassing one. I graduate from there and transferred in from a brick and mortar. To say AMU is a mill is ignorance and insanity or just plain agenda (is it that your brick and mortar may be losing students and $$$$? And THAT is the real issue you have remarks about AMU?) |
Who are these complete idiots who post such utter bullshite about such a respected school as American Military University. These people should be investigated for defamation to the schools established reputation. These people haven't attended AMU or they would know better that to post such things. I also attended AMU and it was top drawer in all ways. Look at their professor line-up and credentials of both instructors and accredidation. THAT tells the real story not some shill with an agenda. |
I see a couple grammar errors. Must be that old fashion brick and mortar learnin'... |
