Sacred Heart University is exactly what the prior post stated…small classes, personalized experience, dedicated professors, kind, helpful faculty and staff. The sports are Division 1 and are great - the social life is awesome as an athlete - but I have many other friends who either play club sport or are in the variety of other campus clubs - volunteer experiences, leadership, etc. There are many opportunities to meet new people and have a great time on and off campus - Fairfield beach and town are minutes away and are a great place to have fun. The academics are challenging - especially the Honors Program is a special, personalized experience for more challenging courses. Also, check out the dorms - nice air cond, new furniture, suites…also brand new student center in the works and plans for other improvements in library and campus facilities (also beautiful chapel). Overall, if you visit SHU and want a small university with an excellent education, Division 1 sports this is the place for you.
