Moravian College was a big part of the reason I got my job as a high school teacher. The principal was extremely impressed when he saw that I graduated from Moravian. I graduated in 2009 when teaching jobs were very scarce, so I was very thankful that the Moravian name got me the "in" I needed. I don't know how well prepared other alumni feel, but I have always felt like I knew exactly what to do once I started teaching, and I have MC to thank for that. I didn't make many friends during my time there (I was a commuter), but, then again, I was only really interested in an education, not a booze fueled social life. I did feel, however, that many of the other students were stuck-up and stand-offish, but there were some who were extremely friendly and intelligent. The faculty was brilliant, particularly the English/Education professors, and they always had time to talk to me about anything I needed. Overall, it wasn't a socially saturated experience, but I am thankful for everything I got out of attending Moravian College.
