Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
All the reviews on here are pretty good for the most part, it has some of the best reviews out of all the colleges I looked at to transfer to (I went to dean college for 2 years). It seemed like an excellent school but if it wasn't for its reputation I would rather go somewhere else. Food, student body, living, the city, even most of the classes are all good, they have competitive academics etc. My problem especially as a transfer student is the administration, I even had issues before I came here with all the paper work to transfer. No one in the faculty gives a crap about me (for the most part). My "advisor" doesn't return emails and they are all reluctant to meet with you. There is no one person on the faculty where I can say "can I meet with you this week to make sure I am on the right track with my major, co op, what I am doing next year etc…" The reviews on here were a little misleading, its impossible to get information, the only reason I am doing athletics is because I knew people on the wrestling team, I called/asked in person multiple times about wrestling and no one had a clue. Calling northeastern for information is basically you talking to random students just getting transfered to different lines until you get an answering machine. The facilities, co op and academics are all good but none of it counts for anything without a proper advising staff to lead students in the right direction and who are willing to help. I know advising in general is notoriously bad at all levels of education but it is even worse here, I feel like I have to call 3 people and schedule meetings with two weeks from now with people who don't want to meet with me just to get the time of day.
