Olivet Nazarene is the epitome of school propaganda.  Everything they tell you before you get in is a lie.  This school is 90-95% brainwashed followers with a ridiculous religious agenda. 

They told you the school is beautiful, right?  No, there is 1 nice building on the whole campus.  Many classrooms should be inspected by the state's IBI.  Some classrooms are in the basements of buildings, and there is mold growing on the wall/ceiling.  The dorms are VERY SMALL, and any room that has half-decent size, ONU crams 3 people into so they can get the extra $25-33 K.  Many of the walls are cracking, and the ceilings are growing more mold than a Red Roof Inn.  Don't touch the outside of any of these buildings, you might catch poison ivy. 

The education?  Worthless in the real world.  Olivet assumes you'll be living their bubble paradigm your whole life, and half the education is extremely religious that WILL MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN THE REAL WORLD OUTSIDE OF BOURBONNAIS.  A few teachers are assign writing assignments to identify what students believe, and how close/different the views of particular students are from their own.  Biases are held by some teachers, no question.

The Student Body?  One would think that a group with such high morals, many here would be in line for the humanitarian award.  NO, I've seen things like a student dump his cum in the milk in the cafeteria, students with Nazi tats, students practice the KKK, it's terrible. 

The surrounding town really has nothing to do with Chicago, Bourbonnais is in the middle of nowhere and the only place to eat is a Dairy Queen.  THERE IS NOTHING TO DO.  Because of ONU propaganda, they do not allow any cell phone companies to build coverage towers, they have very limited internet service & cable channels.  This is a propaganda move, and they want you to live in their own bubble.  They say it's because they want the “students to study and practice bible studies”... they are bullshit.

Olivet is possibly the worst money scam in Illinois.  Every other college I've visited is better.  Even a teacher here blasted ONU in one of his lectures.  I will not even get to the HUNDREDS of fines they have FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN TO COLLECT MONEY.  25k-33k to GO HERE WHAT A JOKE. 

And where does that money go?  Not the dorms, not education, not the buildings.  It all went toward a new chapel and a new organ so they can brainwash everyone more.  Seriously, that's where all the millions went to? 

If you go to Olivet, plan to pay at least $25,000 to literally ruin your life.  Want to text friends here?  Won't work with no service.  Students here have taken sleeping pills every night to go to bed and not feel the misery, no joke.  Also, there are like no days off at this school.  Some students have literally packed their bags and moved out in the middle of the semester.
