I attended Anna Maria a couple years ago but left after 1 year and now attend a very nice State Universtiy. At Anna Maria, you are either treated like a King or Queen (if you are an RA or work for Campus Activities) but if you dont, you are treated like shit by Res Life (Michelle Cash+Elizabeth B), student accounts… just about by everyone.. The school cost almost $40,000, and for what? The nicest dorm building on campus is Coughlin, and the rooms are TINY, and not even suite/apartment style… what kind of a private, $40,000 college doesnt even have suite or apartment style dorms? The fact that seniors are forced to live in Madonna Hall is absolutely ridiculous. They have FINALLY after 3 years, started to build a small suite style dorm… big deal… its going to be so hard to get into that building, and its all going to be based on politics. Every building on the campus besides Coughlin and South are as old as the campus and have never been renovated. Every other private college in mass (do some research) for the same price or even less, has modern, state of the art faculties, suite, apartment, and townhouse style housing.. Anna Maria has NONE of that… when I was there two years ago the most advanced technology was a projector…so, that being said.. where is the $40,000 going? private schools cost that much for a reason, because they are supposed to be beautiful, modern and state of the art.. thats where all the money goes.. they cost that much casue they are constantly renovating and building new buildings on campus, not driving in modular dorms and piecing them together and calling it "The New Dorms on Campus!".. So, at Anna Maria, you get either disgustingly run down dorms, or a tiny 6x6 nice dorm, but in a regular hallway style setting… as a senior, those are still your only options… you get terrible food with very limited options, a snobby res life and student accounts staff, old outdated and literally decrepit academic buldings that resemble your old run down high school… OR. at a Mass State University where I am now (which is supposed to be one of the crappiest state schools) has modern, state of the art buildings… all renovated dorms buildings. almost all of the dorms are suite or townhouse style, along with an on campus apartment stlye hall… state of the art recreation center and a four story half glass state of the art library… free parking on campus… student who do more than smoke week and drink… students who have intelligence, an amazing faculty and staff that dont run out of class faster than you.. and just a calm, respectful environment. I personally know that almost 60% of the students that attend Anna Maria, only attend because its one of the only schools that accepted them, because it sounds nice, or because there family went there… the other 40% go there becasue its one of the only schools that have there majors (music therapy and such)…the kids that go there literally dont care, they trash the dorms, tras hthe campus, smoke like chimneys, swear like truck drivers… it is terrible…before you attend the school, it looks like such a small, nice little college…I thought so cause I hadnt gone to look at any other colleges.. once i left, I toured about 10 other private schools and 5 State schools, and every single school blew Anna Maria away, I couldnt believe that I had ever picked that school…i was shocked… AMC as they want to be known as because the president is a male and wants the name of the school to be AMC, not Anna Maria because it is to feminine and he is trying to make it a male dominant football school… they hardly use the name "Anna Maria" on the campus anymore.. all you see is AMC and hear AMC this AMC that… im pretty sure at some point he will try to change the name all together…to sum it up.. save your money, go to a beautiful and modern state school, or go to a beautiful modern state of the art private school.. if you are going to anna maria cause you dont have the grades to get into a state ir nice private school, go to anna maria for a year, then transfer… anna marias retention rate is like 48%… save your money and your stress level… anna maria is NOT worth it by any logical means… unless you want to live in the basement of madonna hall or a tiny closet in coughlin hall for 4 years

commentI will graduate from university very soon, and I need to resolve the issue of housing. My parents are ready to help me with it, so I immediately want to buy my apartment, and not rent something.
commentIf you really have the opportunity to immediately buy your own home, then this is very great. I can advise you to look at real estate in Kotor because there are many options there at good prices. In general, it is a very convenient service to find good accommodation. In fact, it's cool that your parents are able to help you financially.
