UMD is a good school but the social life is non-existent. Most of the students here are not very social and everyone just comes to class and goes home. If you're looking to have fun then this isn't the school for you. The campus is very small and parking is horrible. A lot of the buildings could use renovation, but CASL and SLRS are very nice. The professors are hit and miss, I've had both horrible and great professors. If you want a good education without having to pay a ton of money, then I would recommend UMD. However, I can't stand the lack of social life so I've transferred to MSU for next fall.
