Lewis & Clark College

Unfortunately Lewis and Clark is mainly a school for weed smokers, however, recent crack downs have really changed the campus atmosphere. Go to another school unless you wish to be hassled by faculty and the administration. I really don't think its a school for kids who are smart, engaging, or even want to party. Weed smoking and cigarette smoking is on crackdown, and the academics aren't worth taking these aspects of the school away. After all it is a school for students and students like to party. It's a school that takes advantage of their students, but its hard to get an honest opinion out of the students who go there, simply because they are over-privileged and don't really need to worry about working hard. Teachers there show a general disrespect for students. My thesis teacher told me he was offended that my work wasn't as good as he thought it would be. If you think school is going to be a challenge because of issues outside of the institution don't go here. The student services also suck here. The students are not very together and seem to be living in the dark ages. Its a con of a school really. There is more focus on a select few students who do succeed, while the rest are left to become Portland burn outs. If you like smoking weed, I don't suggest you go here. If you are a smoker don't go here. And if you are serious about an education, don't go here. It's a total crapshoot. You are better off at a community college where professors show respect, the student body is more respectful, down to earth, and real people. I highly recommend community college over Lewis and Clark, from actual experience. It's overpriced and baby-like.
