UNC Charlotte is a great school and has a more beautiful campus than any other school that I have ever visited. There is a lot to do and get involved with on campus if you bother to put yourself out there. I have been very involved on campus since freshman year and have loved my college experience here. The people that complain about there being nothing to do, it is your own fault. If you want to go home every weekend and just be here solely for classes, yes it may seem dull and boring. It seems that people would rather complain than look for an organization to join on campus. Many of the student orgs that I am involved with offer great things, but do not have enough people interested in applying, that is ridiculous to think about. Some departments on campus are a lot better than others and some professors are better than others, but what school does not have that? The surrounding area could have more to do, but uptown and the city of Charlotte has a lot to keep you busy. If I could say one negative thing about UNCC it would be the students that walk around campus with UNC or DUKE gear. My message to them is, "YOU GO TO UNC CHARLOTTE AND NOT UNC OR DUKE!" It sucks that you did not get in those schools, but get over it. I think that the students on our campus just need an attitude change about coming here for school. In the near future people will be looking to come to UNC Charlotte for what it offers and not even think about other schools. I Love This School, plain and simple.
