Compared to OCC and Goldenwest, This is the best school for busy adults. OCC and Goldenwest are more socialite schools. I"m a working mom and don't have time to spend my days in a classroom. The coastline courses are the same as OCC or GWC, but never fill up as fast. I attended OCC first and realized it was so hard to get a class or get textbooks or wait in line to see a staff member. But Coastline is never busy because their students work during the day and attend online classes or night classes.

Online classes are pretty much self taught. However, the professor make it really easy for you to learn. Most classes consists of a Discussion Board, Quizzes with Previews, and Midterms/Finals that follow the review. The teachers here care about your success and the resources at this school offer programs for families and individuals that can barely afford to go and there's no waiting list. When I was at OCC, I was put on a waiting list to join the EOPS program. At coastline, I was taken in the same day. My little cousin who just started at OCC would rather go into class because she doesn't have much to do in life. So it all depends on the person. If you want to go to class and socialize then OCC/GWC is for you. If your a busy person with no time, go to Coastline.
