I understand that majority of the comments on this site is predominantly negative. So I thought I should share my rather balanced opinion… The facilities aren't very impressive, but it has been showing improvement over the past few years, and it looks like that the progress will continue. Students who do seem to leave MU after their first year (due to academics)seem to leave because they are not patient enough to experience academics further than intro courses. In terms of the people at MU, I'd say its similar to anywhere else, you'll see friendly, interesting, boring, snooty, all sorts of people both among teaching faculty and student population. but because the university is smaller in size, majority of the professors and students are rather friendly compared to other bigger colleges i've been to. I've been commuting to Marymount classes for 4 years and I've loved it. That is not because I get entertained by immaturity or 0 social life as some others said previously, but because I was able to start relationships with people on campus, unlike some people who seem to leave the campus because they don't like it.

If you're looking for a big college campus that you grew up watching on TV, and wish to be a number in the auditorium, rather than a name in the class room, Marymount University is probably not for you.
