I read this site frequently as I was preparing to go to college and now that im in my last semester it seems like a good idea to bring it all back home. I was ambivalent about Fordham at first. My expectations had quite a bearing on how I felt when I first got here. It was incredibly homogenous and Catholic to me at first, especially because it was so small, but it really is what you make it. You can find people of all types here, but just on a smaller scale. However, the student body is alive, they care for the most part, and enjoy their time here. You really do get something out of it. And live off campus. Changes your world view. The Bronx does definately suck but I think im a better person for having seen it. Overall, college is what you make it 95% of the time, so just go wherever seems cool to you. New York City is also really awesome to live in.
