Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I'm a sophomore comp sci student at Taylor. I think sometimes what happens to students when they come here is that they expect this Utopian place because it is labeled as 'Christian'. Taylor is not perfect and never will be. There are great faculty (in some departments) and awesome students (there are always those who are not though). I would especially recommend Taylor for education, psychology, computer science, computer engineering, and media communications. (I haven't worked with other departments say I can't say for sure). (Stay away from the Spanish department!) Taylor is expensive, so while here you should make the most of every penny. That means investing in students, in faculty, in the on campus opportunities, in seminars, etc. If you want a small Christian school with great academics, then Taylor is for you. The academics really are great even though Taylor doesn't have a widespread reputation. I for instance, got an internship at Chick-Fil-A as a sophomore among Yale and Georgia Institute of Technology students. Chick-Fil-A has a super intense internship program. However, if you think you want a bigger school, then you may end up disappointed here. But try it anyway!
