Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I have not experienced anything as terrible as this campus since middle school. Talk about Pro-Campus Propaganda- well that is about all this college does. In high school I was an A student, took a decent amount of AP & college courses and graduated with a 93 GPA. I am also an art student. I ended up attending Post because they gave me a ridiculous amount of scholarship money- now I realize why.

FOR POSSIBLE ART MAJORS: I am an Art Education major at Post and am currently enduring their Art Foundations Program and let me tell you it is a load of BS. For starters no one in the art program actually does art. Their are FINE ART MAJORS HERE THAT CANNOT DRAW AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT ART. Here an art major means you flunked everything else and figured art was the easy way out. So if you are coming here to do art expect to be bored as hell because it is on if not below the middle school level. Aside of that the Foundations Program is put together terribly and with keeping you trapped on the Post campus in mind. Almost all students at Post suffer from having 9-5 schedules (for the music kids 9-10!!!) FOUR OUT OF FIVE DAYS A WEEK. They do it on purpose because they are "trying to create a sense of community". Ironically you cannot get food on campus after seven. EVERYTHING CLOSES. And the food sucks anyway and is INSANELY OVERPRICED (like their tuition.) Not to mention the current Art Director of the program expects students to drive in EXTRA hours to attend EXTREMELY SHITTY art shows in an attempt to create "a sense of community". If you go here buy the supplies as you go, because she tells you to buy everything at the beginning of year (by the way she is an idiot who cant tell acrylic from gauche if like me you can't afford $60 gauche) which costs around 2,000 all together but you only use LESS THAN HALF the list. In foundations they also have "open studio" time. This is time you're supposed to be able to use their resources to finished your work and get credit for it (WHICH BY THE WAY THE CREDIT FROM THESE HOURS COUNTS MORE THAN THE SEMESTER'S FINAL CRITIQUE????? 15% MORE!!!! WTF!?!). Problem is the Art Director Winn Rea WILL ONLY GIVE YOU CREDIT IF YOU COME IN ON FRIDAYS 9-11 EVEN THOUGH THE LABS ARE OPEN ALL WEEK!!! So if you get your work done early you're still fucked and have to drive in to sit in some empty work room and do nothing or else she'll deducted points from your grade. When I brought this up with her she told me to "doodle in my sketchbook". I'm get up at seven am so I can get here by nine so I can DOODLE IN MY SKETCHBOOK??? SOMETHING I DO ALL THE TIME FROM THE COMFORT OF MY BED??? (by the way NO ONE keeps a sketchbook here or makes art on their spare time, even the fine art majors. If you're a serious art student do not put yourself through this. They will bring you down, in 90% of my professors pride themselves on making sure you paint like you're in middle school because only two or three students can do any better) She also will NOT COUNT EXTRA HOURS you spend there on that friday or fridays where she holds her stupid seminars WHERE YOU WILL LEARN NOTHING ACCEPT HOW TO SUBMIT TO BEING SPOKEN TO LIKE A DELIQUENT SEVEN YEAR OLD. The majority of the Professors I have met here are extremely rude and condescending and couldn't give a shit less about your time or money. THIS IS A CLEAR CUT BUSINESS RUN BY HEARTLESS UNREASONABLE LOSERS NOT A COLLEGE.

FOR OTHER MAJORS AND UNDECIDED/REGULAR INFO: I am also a part of CW POST's Honor Program- which is the biggest joke known to man. The majority of students attending post are drop outs from high school and college, people who did horrendous and are trying to look like they want to piece their lives back together. They are merely 'buying a degree', they are not thinkers, they are not deep people. They do not know what words like dynamic and static mean, they do not know how to write a cohesive paper AND WORSE THIS COLLEGE DOES NOT ENCOURAGE THEM OR FORCE THEM TO LEARN THESE THINGS. THEY ACCEPT EIGHT PAGE LONG MID TERM PAPERS WITH NO FORMAT, NO PARAGRAPHS, NO CITATIONS AND GIVE THEM B's. This campus is a great way to make your brain rot. You will meet more people in their late twenties still finishing their freshmen year courses here more than anywhere else. I have not met more than three people in the 18-19 range in all of my freshmen classes. The majority of them are 23-26. Worse they all act as though they are 14. This campus is a breeding ground for immaturity. Partially because the staff is condescending and partially because the college has NO STANDARDS.

Back to the honors program. It is more "sense of community" post propaganda. The classes are boring as hell. (I didn't learn a single thing all year and have STRAIGHT A's) NONE of the honors students read ANY of the texts and their too dumb to even spark note it. So forget stimulating conversation in class, you'll be dying from boredom. These people are not thinkers. And the staff knows it. In fact I had a guest speaker come into my honors class to talk with us about Descartes Meditations (which I read in my high school philosophy class in a much deeper, thorough manner than at this shit hole) who told the class that we weren't sophisticated enough to under stand what it means for light to be refracted, therefore we shouldn't use the word. What a moron. Our professor said nothing and the other two guests were snickering like mad. Do not go here. These staff members are bullies and power hungry. And the programs are infantile and will make you feel like an imbecile.
