Academics:

I am a sophomore in Studio Art major.  I decided my major after I came here so it turns out Dickinson is not really the best place for my major.  The art department professors are quite nice and helpful, but if you are looking for the top training could prepare you a job afterwards, you may be careful for your major choice.  I also tried to take different classes in different fields during the frist two years and I feel the chemistry, English, and International Relations(maybe there are more but I did not take any class) are quite good major choices here.

Social Life:

As a International Student, I am very happy about living in the community.  There are some International Students from different countries so I could meet people with different culture background.  Also, I learned more about American culture since the majority students are Americans.  There are five sororities so if you want to make friends and go to parties you will find your life here.  However, the Greek is quite time consuming if you want to study or having a rest during weekends.  I went to parties in my freshman year but I seldom do that afterwards.  Because the school is too small and you see all same people in parties and in class... which is not fun... and my English is not very good which makes me feel difficult to assimilate.

Location:

If you have a car, living in Carlisle is not horrible because you can go anywhere for weekends.  If not, the weekend is going to kill you.  Or you might just spend more time studying, as your parents expected, because you are too bored...

Anyways, hope it helps!
