I DECIDED TO LEAVE THIS SCHOOL IT IS REALLY AWFUL. THEY JUST TRY TO CASH IN ON YOUR FEDERAL LOANS AND SCREW YOU OVER. THE TEACHERS WERE RUDE FOUL MOUTHED IN CLASS. IF THIS IS THE BEST THE LEGAL PROFESSION HAS TO OFFER FOR LAW SCHOOL TEACHERS GOOD LUCK I AM GLAD I WITHDREW.

I DIDN'T THINK THE TEACHERS WERE HONEST OR REPUTABLE AT ALL. I FELT THEY ENCOURAGED ME TO USE CANNED BRIEFS IN ALMOST EVERY CLASS.

responseI could not disagree more. If you go there to work your butt off to be a lawyer, then, you are in the right place. If you are lazy and want to be spoon fed, then you are in the wrong place. The first thing you are told is not to use canned case notes and rely on them rather than reading and briefing every single case. I got that advice from a law professor to brief every single case and you would be fine. It took everything in me to pass there and I already had an advanced degree and a great deal of post-grad work. I also paid my way through there. And, I found the professors, with rare exception, to be extremely caring, knowledgeable, and focused on the bar pass rate. Last February the school ranked higher than Northeastern which is an ABA school costing about triple that MSL costs. And they take a risk with students who probably could not get into other schools because of LSAT constraints and find other less biased methods to turn students into lawyers. They have a high work ethic and demand more than other schools. There are plenty of judges on the faculty. It is too bad the school was not a good fit for you. Good luck in your future.
commentI agree with you on that the Professors are not honest or reputable. Some of them do not even have logic. That is why they have to stay working at MSL after graduation because they can not find legal work anywhere else.
commentMSL is a small private school that is clickish. If your on the trial team then you may not need to study as hard and you will still get a good grade. If your not volunteering your time on the trial team then you will be studying, studying and studying trying to get a good grade.
questionI was wondering how is it that MSL can be in business of teaching law when there are so many people complaining about the law school? Who regulates the education standards and complaints that people are making ? Where is the boad of education in Massachusetts ? And why havent they done anything?
commentYes, I agree about MSL being a cash in on students as a business for the following reasons:

1). C curve only few A or B are given and majority fall within the C average curve which is a method of screening out there students. The law schools says, they do not know students ID numbers on exams, but I find that doubtful. Its interesting how so many are enrolled and only few graduate . That means they made all there money and let students they dont want out of law school by failing them with lower grades.

2). Academic Support for students on probation not getting all the benefits from the office as equally the same as other students get; therefore, some fail out. Ive seen some students get more support than others thus causing them to get off of academic probation and others ignored and get no benefits of such support therefore fail out of law school.

3) The school is very small and everyone seems to know each other , which is a good thing except for the fact that only few are chosen to stay and graduate. Its not fair because at the end, the graduating students find out that they can not get a job because the school is not ABA accredited..
