Everyone at this school is from Ohio. Unless your from Ohio, you should maybe look elsewhere. There is very little diversity ethnically, or geographically. The faculty does the absolute minimum and lots of budget cuts are about to occur. Athens is one of the poorest towns in Ohio. Both on and off campus housing are horrible compared to other schools I have visited. There are zero quality restaurants, and all of the bars are pretty much the same. Many of the students love the school here, but this is only because they have not experienced a better school. If you choose to enroll at OU you can expect to have easy classes, awful weather year round, and very little entertainment. Be prepared to be stuck with a bunch of kids that think OU is a "good" school and that there parties/fests are awesome. The parties here are no better than at any other school. Partying is prevalent, but this is somewhat due to Athens being such a boring isolated place. Do yourself a favor and go to a school that invests more money in the students experience, faculty, classrooms, technology.
