Obviously you didn't take advantage of any of SCAD's facilities, like the writing center which you so obviously need. |
Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
scad isn't my ideal choice of school. its way too expensive which is for the main reason why I have decided to transfer next quarter. i made some friends here, but i don't love it here either. the school is o.k. its not great. the teachers are okay. they don't really teach you though, which i thought that's what teachers were suppose to do. You are basically paying 50,000 a year so that you can teach yourself the trade. The teacher is only there to provide you with the assignment in its self. then there are strangely a lot of students here who think its the best school on earth? the hype is all built up from the school themselves. I never heard of the school until i was looking for colleges to apply to. scad is fine if you don't care about spending a lot of money and ultimately end up teaching yourself everything. . the surrounding city is again just okay. It gets boring after a while. NOT TO MENTION, Savannah smells like ass outside all the time because of some paper mill near by. Also SCAD accepts just about everyone! But if you get rejected, don't think its because your a bad artist, its probably only because they didn't have any more possible space to squeeze you in. They're not selective, the president Paula Wallace just wants your money. She makes a 2million dollar salary, which is more than any college president makes currently in the U.S. Tyrant? maybe. You would think with all that money they would keep up better with maintenance, but nooo. and when you finally get into your major classes, you basically have to kill to get a spot in ONE or TWO of the only classes for your major course. its ridiculous. My advice would be go to cheaper school where you can get just as good as an education and in most cases an even better one than at SCAD. as for me, I'm just gonna transfer.
