This is a horrible school and the worst school in Florida.  If you want to learn something and have a valuable degree, DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT come to FAMU.  If you want to pis away thousands of dollars to party, then FAMU is the school for you.  The courses were of high school level.  Students would complain and get exams canceled.  Education is not valued here at all.

All the student know how to do here is party.  If you don't kiss azz and become a Greek, you are treated as trash.  The financial aid office has had people start a semester, sometimes a year late, because they refuse to give their money.  I've heard they hold onto it to collect interest and make money off of the students while impeding them from starting classes, and I completely believe it.

The students here are what you would call “bougie”.  Not a pot to piss in but since they use their financial aid money to buy knock off designer clothes, act like they're better than everyone else.  Rather than going to class, theyre at a club or party, failing in the process.  The girls here are all h*oes, Ive seen many girls sleep with a dude within a day of meeting them.  The students are rude, ghetto, disrespecting to teachers, and act like they've been raised by a pack of wild animals.

The dorms are like the projects.  Crumbling paint, doors that don't close all the way, cracking tile, mold everywhere, graffiti on all the walls.  The bathrooms will make you want to vomit.  People here, rather than use the toilet for its intention, defecate on the floor and in the showers.  Girls leave tampons all over the floor.  Nasty used toilet paper litter the floor.  Most of these disgusting females don't even bother to flush.

The faculty here is known for stealing money from the students.  They would rather line their pockets than use the money as it was intended, to improve this terrible excuse for a school.  This school has nearly lost accreditation before, which I hope it does one day.

FAMU is the least respected school in Florida and possibly the least respected of all HBCU', if not the united states.  No one respects a famu degree other than black people.  FAMU is known as the school rejects go to when every other reputable school denied them an acceptance.  If you're trying to get into corporate America do not come to this school.  Their business school is UNACCREDITED and their pharmacy school has been on probation many times.

Overall do not waste your money on this filth.

responseWOW! Why did you go?

responseI am a second year going to be third year business student here at FAMU and I must say that our business school has been accredited. FAMU is the real world. Not every week link can manage to get out of here right. Believe me when I say this University will prepare you for life. The obstacles that I have faced in this University has changed me around and I can now can consider myself a strong women. College is not suppose to be easy. If you're not strong enough to face some issues that college is not meant for you. Yes FAMU include a lot of partying but you are suppose to be grown. Grown enough to master the skill of time management. FAMU do not force students to party, it's your choice as a student. In my two years here I have accomplished so much that I never thought I could have accomplished. When I walked on the hills I had a purpose and a goal. Maybe you did not set yours straight. Why should it matter what other students are wearing. If you are confident in yourself then rock what you have and stop worrying about everyone else. You must be one of those students who did not make Greek and now you're upset. By The way you don't have to be greek to be recognized at FAMU. Only weak links have your kind of mindset.
