I know most students do not like Hunter. I however love it. I went a private University for my first year and it was hell. I couldn?t believe I was going to go into debt for professor who were not engaging, students from outside of NY who were excited by skyscrapers, and just your ?regular? get faced nights.

In Hunter, I have had many inspiring professors. Honestly! I must have gotten lucky since people here hate the faculty. I wasn?t learning about the boring history, for example, I was learning what we were never taught. And for a tuition this cheap, I was amazed that I love it.

I?m one of those snobby people, who looks down on CUNY but I am so happy I came to Hunter. It is affordable and engaging. It doesn?t cater to those rich people from the suburbs like private schools.

I feel some people do not like it because of the social life. There is none. If you make a friend or two, that is your social life. So explore the area towards downtown. Nothing uptown. Yes Hunter is a commuter school, but I prefer not seeing the same obnoxious people over and over. Also, who cares if the bathrooms are old as hell. And Wow, some are very old! Who care if Thomas Hunter looks like crap, we got three other decent buildings. Relax.

Also, there are many complaints about the services and how bureaucratic they are. I have had no trouble (so far).

I am just learning so much at this school. I have not really made many friends at this school, but I am happy I can at least afford it. I?m not stuck with rich, snobby idiots.

Hunter may not mean as much as some of those other schools, but I am happy hear after attending an ?elite? school.
