Florida College has been a wonderful blessing in my life and the lives of my family. FC provided a safe and friendly environment to grow and mature out on my own. I was given so many opportunities to get involved in campus life and extra curicular activities. The faculty, staff, and administration really care about the safety and eduacational development of the students. They have high expectiations for the student body and work hard to help motivate, challenge, and encourage them to succeed. Supplemental Instruction is offered for almost every class to help with class projects or review befor tests. They offer several tutor labs for math, writing, theory, and Bible as well.

While I was a student I had an accident and broke a bone. My resisdence hall supervisor, or "dorm mom" as we call her, took extra care of me and would check on me throughout the day, bring me medicine, and bring me food. It was so nice to have a "mom" when mine was so far away.

Dorm life was a blast! The girls were so sweet and it was a good way to meet other students. It was also nice to have curfew so that you knew when your friends would be back and you catch up and talk about your day or get together for study groups.

Societies were also a great way to get involved and meet new people. Societies compete for points throughout the year in sports, community service, campus events, and blood drives. There are 6 societies and you get to choose which one you would like to be on. They have meetings once a week to keep all the members posted on upcoming events.

There are several ways to get leadership experience on campus. You can run for an office on your society, for your class, for your club, or the Student Body Government Association (SBGA). SBGA and class officers host on campus and off campus events to help raise money for the Spring Banquet and the Sophomore class gift.

Other clubs you can be involved in include: Footlighters, Circle K, Sowers, YWTO, CMENC, Apple Club, etc.

Classes were great. It's a small campus and small student body; which meant smaller student to teacher ratio. Your teachers know you by name and can help you one on one with assignments and projects. Some classes were harder than others depending on the level and teacher you have. I definitely felt challenged academically and prepared to succeed in the workforce. The advising office is a great source for academic success and career counseling.

I had a wonderfuil experience at FC and I hope many more get to enjoy the "FC experience" as well. It's nothing that can be put into words and only those who have truly given it a chance understand what it has to offer. I have truly been blessed academically, socially, and professionally to have had FC as my launching pad for life!
