It's
hard to put into words just what Florida College has
done for me. When I look at what my life
was like before and after FC, the difference is astounding.
The people I have met here are the people that
I will hold dear for the rest of this life
and the next. You will be hard pressed to find
students who are more friendly, loving, and there for you
when you need them. But this college is so
much more than just the friends and loved ones you
make. It is the faculty, who are open and available
to you at any times both at their offices and
their homes. It is the staff, who work hard for
the students to provide them an educational experience unlike any
other. It is the church community, who support and nurture
a Godly atmosphere for the students and give so much
of their time for us. It is the academics, with
their focus on knowledge, not for it's own sake, but
as a tool for God's work. And it is the
God this college serves that makes the biggest difference. Everything,
from the daily chapel services to the devotionals to the
sports to the classes to the dorms to the people,
is focused and tuned towards the Almighty.
There are
those who speak ill of the college, saying it is
a poor place for academics or that we are not
open enough towards outsiders. To these I say come see
for yourself. Come to this college and see for yourself
how you will be embraced with open arms. We serve
God, and that means we use his Word only as
our guiding light. And it is because of this commitment
that this college is unlike any other on this earth.
