I found Lawson state's welding program advertised as an associates degree in welding technology, as well as getting AWS (American welding society) welding certifications.THIS IS NOT TRUE! Although you can be awarded an associate degree in welding, none of the Certifications are valid! after talking to an AWS rep. I found out that Lawson state does not certify any one in welding, Instead they "qualify" to AWS standards, This is NOT a certification
