Hello I am about to be a second year student and i cant wait to go back. All the teachers are cool, friendly, but stay professional at the same time. I have learned so much in just one year and from that it has motivated me to keep with it during summer and even bust my ass to get better. All the projects we did first year are very cool, creative, helpful and they make it fun to learn. Of course with all the good there are some things they need to work on. They accept anyone and they should be more aware of the students abilities before accepting them. There are students in my class that have no artistic ability or creativity and people like that shouldnt be there. But of course there grades and work reflect on it so its not that big of a deal. My gpa first semester was 3.37 and second was 3.32 i take a lot of pride in my work and really strive to make my work the best i can make it. You need to come to this school with that kind of attitude or else you will be on this site complaining how bad it is. I guessing a lot of bad reviews on this site are from people that don't try hard enough and leave after the first year. All the teachers are talented at what they do and really go out of there way to help. They have all the good equipment you need such as scanners,printers,computers,art supplies,and a school store. Another thing I do not like is the school design competition isn't very serious its kind of a everyone wins type thing. But besides the acceptance and competition i like everything about this school. DO NOT listen to people on this site saying bad things about the teachers or school Harris is the man, Joe Wilk likes snickers and subaru's, Tom Keenan kinda sucks sometimes but o well. If you are looking into this school please have a passion for design do not come here if you aren't going to take it seriously. If you half ass on stuff you WILL be called out on it and get yelled at. Also they have great events and opportunities such as picnics and the philly ad club.
