While Marymount definitely has some flaws, it makes up for them in other areas. The politics program is filled with intelligent, challenging professors. I have only had one or two teachers that gave me issues or annoyed me. Being in DC gave me great opportunity to take on one internship my spring semester of my freshman year, which opened an opportunity for another internship that following summer. While a lot of students are from the area, there still is a very diverse campus, we have students from all but two states, and over 70 countries. When getting involved with clubs, it is very lax. They post their meetings everywhere on campus fliers and in the weekly email, "The Bark." You are welcome to show up when you please, to very welcome and warm crowds. If one of the 30 or so clubs don't fit or phase you, students are encouraged to create there own. A very simple process, that only takes 7 members or so to be recognized by the University.

The new residence hall, Ostapenko, is absolutely beautiful. It provides a great experience in an apartment style living. While the summer options in the main dining hall are not always great and varied, the school year brings so many options and selection for meals. Sushi is awesome, the staff is friendly. If you don't see something you like you are always more then encouraged to ask for it. After personally meeting the main chef, I felt welcome to ask for any thing I was not satisfied with.
