I am now a second quarter student in the LPN program at Spencerian. I love it. The staff is helpful, but can be unapproachable, and I understand the reason why. The courses are jam packed with material, and it is challenging, but not something that can't be done. I also did my LMR in 2005 at Spencerian, and although I was younger, I still understood that I must read everything I sign my name on. You are responsible for the loans you take out for your education, no one else is. They hand you a student handbook the day you are accepted and you need to read it and understand it. It is a private school, not a public college for anyone. I think they need to make the entrance exams harder, so the trash will get weeded out beforehand, especially in nursing. If you can't pass your class, it's your fault. They give you a book to read and study, no one tells you how to study or what to read day by day—you are grown—read the syllabus and follow it. I think it is ridiculous that we as a society have sunken to the bottom of the barrel by blaming everyone else for our own shortcomings. I'm glad you didn't make it if you can't pass, and if you can't even read before you sign your name, I sure don't want you taking care of my children or my family. Nurses beware!! This is what makes us all look bad, and we need to rid ourselves of incompetency. Have a good day. Maybe McDonalds is hiring.
