Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
As someone who just completed my first year at Johnson, it's so sad to see how negative some people's reactions are to this school. As with every school, students need to do some previous research to make sure that Johnson will be a great fit. It's true that if you are looking for a major city or a huge school, you will not find that at Johnson. In my opinion, these are two things that make me love JSC even more. The classes are small and personal, and I am on a first names basis with all of my professors. The professors are knowledgable, and helpful, and truly want to see the students succeed. To blame them for the students' lack of motivation is ridiculous. If you go to any school, you will find drugs and slackers. That's just the way college is, unfortunately. Johnson will be whatever you want it to be. The school provides activities and things to do almost every day of the week. There are popular movies, local music, sports events, and interesting speakers. The tuition is affordable, and scholarships, grants, and loans are readily available for anyone who takes the time to look. There are tons of clubs and sports teams, all of which welcome newcomers with open arms. There are so many possibilities at Johnson, and to say that there is nothing to do means that you haven't tried looking. Johnson is set in a beautiful location, with skiing and snowboarding locations very nearby. Academically, the education program has been fantastic, as well as any other classes I've taken.Johnson is a small, beautiful college with engaged, interesting professors, and a great, laidback community. A small portion of the student body is incredibly undeserving for all the perks of Johnson, and the rest of us know how lucky we actually are.
