Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I just finished my second year at HPU. Choosing a small private school, especially HPU, is the best decision I have ever made. I am so happy here and I can't believe I'm already halfway done. This school has opened up so many doors for me, and the education I am getting is top notch. I am so proud to go to a school that believes in teaching "real world" skills. As a business major, I have been very impressed with my professors ability to relate to the real business world. Many of my friends at state schools talk about how their professors are good teachers, but have no knowledge of how things really work in business. At HPU, many of my business professors have owned or currently own businesses. On top of that, the school is dedicated to helping students find internships and other job opportunities to build their resume's. With the help of HPU's career service, I have an awesome internship this summer and they LOVED my resume (that HPU helped me build). Beyond academics, the school offers so much to do. I am shocked some reviews here say greek like is the only thing to do… I am not involved in greek and I have tons to do on campus. You can't come to a small school and expect the activities to come to you. You have to get out there and get involved. HPU has something for everyone, you just have to make the effort to find it. My best advice to all incoming freshman… Get involved! Many people that transfer from HPU never got involved, so of course they had a miserable time! On top of all this, the campus is amazing, the beauty never wears off. Seriously, you never have to leave the facilities are so great. The only negative thing about HPU… no football yet! However, I think is coming sooner than later. Lastly, my best advice to prospective students: DO your research! Don't come here for the beautiful campus, come here because you it fits you! Talk to professors and see how/where you can get involved. GO PANTHERS!
