What are other things that you disliked about Fordham? What other schools would you prefer? |
Since you've already graduated and now need to sell yourself, just a suggestion: stop whining and try to figur out how to make this a winning propostion. First of all as you know there is no "town of Fordham" so if someone says that I am pretty sure they have never really been there, second of all as we both know you can not drive through the campus really makes no sense. Whether you ahd a good or bad experience it is your experience and you need to amke it a positive: The campus was used to film "Love Story" although it was supposed to be Harvard they used Fordham, sam is true with parts of other famous movies. Where is is it in a really cool part of NYC right next to the beautiful Botanical Gardens and the world famous Bronx Zoo. Really they've never hear of it? where are you looking for a job? Maybe that , your grades, your negative attitude, or the inability to make lemons from lemonade are the true problem with your inability to get a job! Think about it and try again with a better attitude. |
Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
am an alumni of Fordham. I have applied to no less than 100 jobs in three different cities in the past 4 months. I have asked almost every recruiter, hiring manager, and secretary that I have spoken with if they have heard of Fordham and when I am not simply getting blank stares I am greeted with comments such as "oh thats the rough place" or "I drove through the "town' of Fordham by accident once. But I didn't stop to look at the college. Is it good?" Those are actual quotes from interviews. Fordham offers neither a respectable, widely recognized name nor majors that provide individual students with competitive marketability. Furthermore the school is exorbitantly expensive and given this fact (annual tuition over 40,000) and the impoverished value of an Fordham College degree in today's job market Fordham, from a purely financial standpoint, is a poor choice. There exist a bevy of other reasons why I am very disappointed with Fordham which I will be glad to expound upon with any prospective students or current undergrads.
