Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
am an alumni of Fordham. I have applied to no less than 100 jobs in three different cities in the past 4 months. I have asked almost every recruiter, hiring manager, and secretary that I have spoken with if they have heard of Fordham and when I am not simply getting blank stares I am greeted with comments such as "oh thats the rough place" or "I drove through the "town' of Fordham by accident once. But I didn't stop to look at the college. Is it good?" Those are actual quotes from interviews. Fordham offers neither a respectable, widely recognized name nor majors that provide individual students with competitive marketability. Furthermore the school is exorbitantly expensive and given this fact (annual tuition over 40,000) and the impoverished value of an Fordham College degree in today's job market Fordham, from a purely financial standpoint, is a poor choice. There exist a bevy of other reasons why I am very disappointed with Fordham which I will be glad to expound upon with any prospective students or current undergrads.
