Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
In a nutshell: IUB is about a beautiful campus, a cute town, and solid academics. It's like living in a castle for four years. IF you HAD to split up the student body, people would either fall into really artsy or really fratty/sorority. But there is no tension. Everyone is way too involved and appreciating and IU to care if you're different. Okay. You can read about the size of the school and the academics elsewhere. This is a StudentsReview. WHAT THE FRESHMEN ARE ACTUALLY INTERESTED IN: Dorms: You get to pick your neighborhood freshmen year, not your specific dorm. That's not nearly as bad as you might think. Northwest neighborhood (NOT including Collins): The location really sucks. Unless you're in business. But if your type of partying is getting really drunk and running wild OR if you're planning on rushing, then live in northwest. Collins Living Learning Center (technicall Northwest): this is my dorm. Yep, I'm still living here. It's by far the best location on campus (yesss even the central neighborhood location sucks). It's also really really small so everyone is very friendly. You get to take weird and cool classes living here (for example, Edible Wild Plants), and it pretty much looks like Hogwarts. But if you're not very liberal and creative then you probably shouldn't come here. This place is filled with many fine arts majors and people wearing costumes during the day. It's known as more of a hippie pot-smoking place. Central: If you want to meet people and balance studying and such, while having an okayish location by the library, go to central! It's big and fun and well-rounded. NEVER LIVE IN ASHTON. Unless air conditioning and single rooms are more important to you than friends and a decent dorm life. I guess live in Ashton if you're a gamer though. Southeast: Music majors and such. The best food on campus. It's a lot quieter than central or northwest, but everyone really likes it here. The dorms are newer and friendships form fast despite the large dorm size. Not exactly a party place.Partying: You want it, you'll get it. You don't want it? Well, you'll probably have those nights where some idiot is yelling and passing out in the street completely wasted. But hell! That's college. In terms of other drugs besides alcohol…weed is everywhere. great quality. And besides that…well…I've never had any trouble getting anything I've wanted. Ever.
