Major: Geography and Geosciences (This Major's Salary over time)
UNT was unhelpful and misleading. I had to keep track of EVERY dollar I received in Financial Aid as on MULTIPLE occasions chunks would go missing or not be posted with no letters or emails to me. Shady! My department, the Geography department was TERRIBLE! The only good thing was the front office staff who was ALWAYS nice and helpful. As for the teachers, and I speak to the few teachers who deal in the physical aspect of geography, they were detached and did not work together (they work against sometimes). I could not get ANY help or even a discussion related to getting a thesis topic and/or research completed. When I was teaching undergrad classes I had to advise really interested students to go to other universities if they wanted to pursue this topic. The whole mess did nothing to help me gain knowledge or help me in a career. Do yourself a favor and RUN AWAY from UNT, as fast as you can! Me and several other grads wish we would have earlier.
