Honestly, if you're not going to this school on some kind of athletic scholarship, have fun paying a $30,000 plus school year. The athletes are given the majority of the scholarships. The athletic events, pretty much boring. You are required to take a Liberal Arts class that will not transfer to any other school. The caf food is horrible. The town is horrible. The nearest super-store is Wal-mart which is 10 minutes up the road. Asheville is 30 minutes away is a cool town, but you'll be using a lot of gas. There is nothing to do on the weekends, so must people go home or away. The classes are not challenging enough. You will meet some friendly people, but a good amount of people are still living their high school glory days. The dorms are horrible. They have just recently gotten wireless in them, but some dorms still don't have any in the actual rooms themselves. No ari conditioning, so you'll be living with your window open as soon as some sort of warmth hits the mountains. It is not fun walking to class in inches of snow and as it is the mountains, be prepared to possibly have snow before or after spring break. Campus security is a joke. They accept literally anyone that applies. They just want money to make people think it's a nice school to go to but in reality, that money is going towards stupid things like building a wall with the logo on it, rather than making the dorms safer to live in or making the campus more enjoyable. Have fun having the most miserable time of your life.
