Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I loved how FIDM helped prepare me for my jobs while I was in school and as an alum. The classes were seriously spot on to what I would face when I graduated. They were super intense and made you work really hard to get the grade you wanted. It was awesome that I had the resources to get additional help to work on my projects and find materials for them nearby at the Fashion District. Not only did I get to get my work done but there was plenty to do if I wanted to like unwind whether going to the movies at L.A Live with my girl friends or just sitting in the park and studying! I thought the transportation around the campus was awesome because I could pretty much get where I wanted to. The fact that I learned some serious discipline, had a great portfolio and made great contacts coming out of FIDM,made this school super helpful for me. I could go back at any time to search and talk to a job counselor there, which I have done. FIDM is VERY well known dispite what ANYONE says. I have not met anyone yet who isn't excited that I am a grad from there. I recommend that H.S students really be prepared to work and to also have fun being creative and ready to become leaders in whatever they do. FIDM is not for slackers or anyone who is not serious about making a career out of what they are passionate about! :)
