Date: Jul 11 2011 Major: Criminal (This Major's Salary over time) My overall experience at DSU was a pleasant one. The instructors and professors were very friendly and helpful. The positives were the small class sizes which gave you more one on one time with your teachers. It had a family type feel to it. Another positive was the price. It was reasonably priced as compared to the larger universities in the state. The campus is safe and you are able to walk to your classes with no problem. The do have frats and sororities and other activies on campus. They have football, baseball and basketball which was also fun to watch. There are teaching and nursing programs at DSU so the female to male ratio was very good. The only negative I can think of is if you are a young person who wants to party a lot this may not be the school for you. DSU is in a small delta town so the nightlife is lacking. There was one club in town that most students went to and the big party night was Thursday night. On the weekends the campus was mostly vacant. So, if you are wanting a small college, with small classes, individual attention from instructors and a reasonable student loan bill after 4 yeats this is your place. If you want to drink and party like a drunken frat boy this may not be your place.
