Picturesque you say? Quaint? Quintessential college town? Don't let some of these reviews fool you! FU is located along a mosquito infested swamp built to cover up a landfill. Fine, there is one beautiful tower building, but one building does not a college make! For those who have gotten tours, did you realize their failure to mention or show you dormitories? That's because there aren't any! Everyone piles into the one tower-like structure that exists on campus to give you that beautiful water view. And, let's just say that the campus is extremely proud of their lake. The PE requirement is often fulfilled by completing some sort of water aerobics in the swamp as well as the classic game of 'pick up the shoe,' which involves students swimming to the bottom and collecting old shoes. The individual who collects the most shoes is the winner! Of course the fun doesn't stop here, as there are often movies on the lake, lake concerts, and of course skinny dipping but let's just say it's more like fat dipping. In fact, the university must refill the lake weekly after students jump into it. This often appears paradoxical to those on the outside and inside for that matter as the culinary options here are scarce and students are often tempted to engage in cannibalistic activities in order to stay alive! All I can say is stay awake and stay alert!
