attended Hampton Univesity from 2005 to 2009. I completed my
degree in Aviation Mangement. I am no an airport
manager. While attending HU I had similar complaints as the
ones posted. After I graduated I started to think back
and appreciate all the struggles that I incurred because it
all made me a better person. It prepared me for
the struggles of the real world. You have to take
advantage of the campus and make friends. Make friends and
explore the 7 cities. Get in some trouble, go out!
I miss my HIU every day I wish that I
could go back. I miss going to buckroe beach after
class.. I miss the cookouts with the frats and basketball
and football players. I miss the tailgating at the games.
I miss the 12-2 in the student center everyday. I
miss being around my fellow black scholars. Take advantage of
the opportunity you are experiencing at Hampton University. It is
a once in a life time experience, dont be a
dorm rat. Get out of that dorm and find something
to do! Fun is there in Hampton, as always, it
is what you make it! I hope my advice helps
for you all that struggle. See you at homecoming! Missy
