Okay, in laying down the grounds for which one enters KC, I will be blunt. In my experience the people that come to KC either are on an athletic scholarship, financial assistance, or did not make the grades to go elsewhere. This is a community college, and thus, they will except anyone. My field of interest is medicine and in realization that a community college can't compete with a university for pre-professional curricula, I feel my courses could have prepared me more to transfer into a pre-medicine program. Organic chem classes are regarded as 'weed out' classes in 4-year universities, but here it was an easy A for me and half my class. Now, not everyone will go into science oriented fields, so let's list some of the facts of KC. Kaskaskia is a great school for learning how to adapt from living with your parents, GED students, and students wishing to transfer their associates into a university with a strong GPA. The professors here are down to earth and also open-minded. An additional pro to attending KC is the class re-take grade forgiveness (i.e. you may retake a class previously taken for a complete replacement of it's grade. The school takes the higher of the two grades rather than averaging them together.)

Kaskaskia is located in Centralia, Illinois and if you don't know by now, there is nothing else in Centralia, Illinois. Wait maybe some cows and barely, otherwise there isn't. The students here are laid back and it's easy to meld into the campus environment, however, you need to be a master at keeping yourself occupied should you decide to attend here (or else boredom will kick in, then next you know you will get devious thoughts..then you will be robbing old ladies..followed by walmart, and probably soon after convicted for multiple felonies.) Just kidding, I thought I would lighten the mood with a slippery slope fallacy (which reminds me, take philosophy courses with Doctor Weber, you will learn more than you bargained for).

That is all I have to say. This was meant as an unbiased review of the college, but, sadly, it became biased.
