Major: Chemical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
I abolutely loved my time at KSU. I couldn't walk across campus without running into people I knew and then meeting more. People there are extremely friendly and helpful. I often saw, and did myself, students going out of their way to help freshmen find classes or visiting families find buildings. I knew a student from Minnesota who had come for one major, only to switch, decide to stay because he felt that if he left, his department would miss him. This was a freshman in engineering, a huge department. As far as things to do around town, Manhattan doesn't have a whole lot in comparison to places like Kansas City. The university does a wonderful job providing events and opportunities for the students. There are hundreds of clubs, activities, and intramurals you can get involved with. If they don't have what you're into, it only takes 5 people and $5 to start a club. I would definitely recommend living in the residence halls for a while. There simply is no better way to make friends and study mates your first year.
