Usually when I tell people I go to Bradley in Peoria, IL they have no idea what I'm talking about. Although small and kind of off the map, I wouldn't trade the experience I had my freshman year here with anything. I've made some very close relationships that are unlike any other I've ever had. Myself - I'm not a partier. If I drink I'd rather do it with a few friends sitting down having a conversation then grinding on some drunk chick at a frat house. Not bashing the greek system, its very active and a big part of Bradley university.. I'm just saying if its not you, then you can still have a lot of fun. Looking back, I've had a lot of opportunities that I was emailed about that I just kind of passed up. If you want to, you can really make a lot of out your 4 years at Bradley. The city of Peoria is pretty dangerous. If you've lived in East St. Louis or the south side of Chicago you should be fine.. Anywhere else and its going to be quite an eye opener for you. Campus itself is very safe at night. I wouldn't wander too far off at night though.. Peoria grows on you though. After a while you'll get used to it. People are pretty approachable here. You'll probably have to be the one doing the approaching, but everyone likes having a nice conversation… So try to get involved.
