Wrong college!!!!!! |
Not quite as bright as you think you are, if you can't search the correct college to rate. |
Major: Agriculture/Horticulture (This Major's Salary over time)
I attended Montgomery College for a few semesters (Fall '09 and Spring '11) while I was in Maryland out-of-state and while waiting to be accepted to UMCP in the spring(Spring '10). I couldn't be happier with my education here. I was taking mostly Gen Ed classes to get them out of the way but even then I felt like I wasn't simply a number. The majority of the professors are really helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you understand the concepts taught in class. There are a few teachers and classes that are very rigorous and depend heavily on the textbook, but for the most part if you are diligent you will earn the right grade. The campus is very homely even though there is a lot of construction going on because a brand new Biology building is being constructed. I never parked at MC because I took the bus but it was always an issue with my classmates. If you're looking to party this is not the place to go, it's a community college and most of the kids who go here live around Rockville, Potomac, Bethesda, etc. There's a lot of diversity on campus and I saw many people of different ethnicity and ages coming in just to learn so it's very easy to feel welcome. There aren't many options for food and personally I feel it's overpriced but for some reason I really loved eating MC Cafeteria's soup. When I did transfer to UMCP in Spring '10 I was surprised by how the classes at MC compared. Personally I really liked Montgomery College much more than UMCP because the teachers actually cared and I felt the student body was happier and more outgoing. If I wasn't an out-of-state student paying exorbitant tuition rates I would have stayed here for my Associates and then would have proceeded to a major University.
