Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a business major in my first semester at the university. Monterey was not my first choice, but I went there because I was denied admission into my first choice school. I have to say that after being there for just one week, I know that I should have stayed at the JC and tried again later to gain admission to my first choice. The university has a set of added requirements that pretty much make it impossible to graduate in two years for a transfer student. The teachers treat you like high school kids. Lap Tops are not allowed in class what so ever. As someone that has been taking notes on a lap top for my entire College career, not being able to use one is quite an inconvenience. The dorms are pretty average, but if something is broken, good luck getting it fixed. The wireless internet in the dorms is pretty much impossible to use. The only thing this school really has going for it is the small class sizes. The school has potential, but it is definitely a long way away from realizing that potential. I will be transferring out in the spring.
