| Agreed
that at a school that costs so much there are
going to be wealthy students. However, many of my friends
have financial aid, as well as a large portion of
the athletes. It a wonderful city to go to school
in, with shopping, excellent restaurants, and tons of night life.
Skidmore's split into 2-3 different categories: hipster art students and
business major/athletes, with a good chunk of theater/music majors. If
you fit into one of those categories then you'll love
it. If you don't then you might not. Wonderful art
program and business program. I've heard great things about the
exercise science program. The exterior of buildings on campus are
kinda ugly, but thats something that you stop noticing after
the first few weeks because you get used to it
and the general area and town is amazing. The dining
hall is freaking awesome, with something for everyone. Academics are
interesting and challenging for the most part, but I've heard
career services kinda sucks. Overall, great location, great academics, community
and social life; however, very small and segregated student.
