TVI Community College has been renamed to Central New Mexico Community College, or CNM. I have had NOTHING but problems with them since I've been registered. When you are a distance learning student like I am, you pretty much don't matter. I've had problems with the cashier's office charging me TWICE for classes that I didn't even take or register for. I've had problems with getting into classes—as soon as general registration opened, every single class was instantly full. I got into three classes by nothing short of a miracle. I've had problems with my financial aid…sometimes it shows up, and sometimes it doesn't. Whenever I try to call the different offices at CNM, I'm usually on hold for at least twenty minutes before being shuffled around to a bunch of different people and departments, only to be told that nobody can help me. Just recently I ordered two books from the bookstore using my financial aid option and I chose two day shipping. Its now seven days past my original order date and I still have not recieved my books. When I called the bookstore, they pretty much told me that there's nothing they could do. They've also decided to turn off the online ordering using financial aid, so I'm going to have to drive three hours to Albuquerque just to get my last two books. TERRIBLE disorganization, incompetant staff, overcrowded…I can't wait until next fall when my financial aid for the year is up. I'm switching schools as soon as possible.
