Just started my JR year at Scranton and I have been very happy here. I read the previous posters comments and was surprised but there are always exceptions and he should expect fair treatment. However, my experiences at the U have been great and I would not trade based on all I know today. Scranton offered me a great scholarship which allowed me to attend a private jesuit university. Without I would have gone to a higly rated SUNY school but this was a better fit and more in line of what I wanted from a college experience and education that I have recommended it to many friends/family members. While the U may not be top 3 in their rankings, I think if you survey students as a whole, the answer would be an overwhelming YES for higly recommend. Made lifelong friends, have interned at financial firms and have job offer. In todays times, I was thrilled to get that and it's in my pocket. Overall, faculty is very accessible and the campus is getting better and better. Happy that construction in now done with science center. Food top notch. Soph and JR/SR dorms are excellent. Freshman are livable but over 40 yrs old. Put that on the to do list…

Athletics D3 school- light turn out at most events with the exception of baseketball and mens lacrosse now that program picking up. Rugby gets a great turn out especially since its club. All in all, highly recommend !!
