Once again, Financial Aid is full of excuses. Despite the fact that my information was filed over the summer in June and July, I still do not have all of my financial aid. When I call them, I never get a call back (ignore the 48hours response voicemail, it's a joke). If you go into financial aid they have nothing to tell you but to shrug there shoulders. They can't even tell you who your loan is assigned to, are they organized or is it just a lottery pull. I would say atleast 75% of the time, I have waited atleast half of the semester if not more to get any financial aid. Twice I have recieved aid, a month before the end of the semester! That's nuts. Currently they are giving excuses about how behind they are due to the amount of people who applied for loans, however there lacking ability to perform the duties of their job efficiently is not my concern. Excuses for why you can't do your job are not acceptable. I would advise that those who come to this school be aware that they will have to hound FINANCIAL AID to get anything done. They are incompetent. If you can avoid this school and head to Pasco Hernando, or Santa Fe…go for it…it will be less stress for you. The teachers are nice and I enjoy most of my classes but my success is challenged by lack of supplies… etc. There is a reason I need the financial aid before the end of the semester, so I have supplies for the class, fools.
