Hey. i study in the UK and am doing my second year in USA. would you recommend this uni for an international student. Im doing public relations. thanks :) |
I am from New York too! Thinking about transfer about 9 hours away is hesitant because if i transfer once I need to make a good decision, is East Carolina really worth trying out? |
I'm from NJ and i'm a southern girl at heart! Is it a different atmosphere that i'm looking for? I love the southern accents and southern hospitality. Also, I want to major in Communications too, but I also was interested in Retail, where are you going career wise with your major? thanks!! :) |
Can anyone shed some light on the different off campus housing, like if they just have good websites and are actually shady spots and where is decent? Thanks! :) |
Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
Coming from New York, I was definitely worried about moving to Greenville and going to school at East Carolina, but the minute I moved into my dorm I knew that this would be the best 4 years of my life. I loved everything about East Carolina, the football games, the people and even Greenville itself. There is no shortage of things to do - plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and even art galleries. Not to mention just hanging out outside on campus, playing frisbee on the lawn and just enjoying the constant sunshine that is Eastern North Carolina. I majored in Communications with a minor in fashion merchandising and found my classes challenging and exciting. This school offers so many clubs and opportunities to really help you when you enter the real world. I wrote for the college paper (The East Carolinian), produced fashion shows through the AIMO club and played club lacrosse…all while being able to go out to the clubs at night and enjoy every moment of my experience. I currently live in New York City and work for Macys.com where I have put both my major and minor to work…and the funny thing is that there are a couple of other East Carolina graduates in my office as well. The only thing I regret about my time at East Carolina is graduating.
