PROS: The Dental Hygiene department was always helpful, especially Dr. Meg Zayan and first year instructor Karen Williams. I feel that this may be one of the only truly outstanding programs at UB. Having the distinction of being the first dental hygiene school in the US does help.

CONS: my personal opinion- classes I took outside of dental hygiene were not taught by the most qualified teachers. I had a professor that could barely speak English and he was teaching a science course. I feel I had better teachers at a state college. I feel I overpaid for my education, however I am happy with the outcome of my education. Neighborhood is NOT safe. I was afraid nightly when leaving a night class.
