While certain programs at KU might be beneficial in the real world, special attention should be paid to the needs of the student and the possibility that faculty/departments will discriminate against certain classes of grads as they "train" their students for later employment. My department even acknowledged the existence of discrimination in my field, yet did not provide the training necessary to fight such practices.
