I am a mother of a student that attended last year. My issue with this school is the Financial Aid Department. They appear to be arrogant, very unhelpful staff. My son attended Southwestern Oregon last year as mentioned earlier. He had not received his financial aid for the previous year. I contacted the Department of Education. They informed that his financial aid was completed 6 weeks prior and his disbursements had been submitted. Frankly, the Department of Education did not understand why it was taking so long for my son to receive his funds. The Department of Education supplied me with resources in the State of Oregon to contact concerning my son's financial aid refund check. The financial aid repeatedly told me they were working on it. After several weeks of waiting on financial aid and still no progress, I contacted the resources given to me from the Department of Education. The State of Oregon was contacted and my son received his refund check the same week.
