Can you tell me bout Greek and sorority life? Or what you have heard of it. |
Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
The UNT campus is nice. I don't know about parking problem because I did not have a car, but my friends did and they never complained. The Buses run often all around campus and to the surrounding apartment complexes which is nice. The rec is nice, spacious, and clean. The dorms are ok, Kerr is the biggest and full of freshmen and whores. Victory is off campus, it houses the majority of the Athletes and has a dinning hall next to it. Its a pretty good dorm. Clark is full of black people. Bruce is full of music majors. Maple is the Emerald Eagle dorm now. There is also an all girl dorm. A dorm for young students in special programs. I cant remember the rest.
When I initially enrolled my initial adviser was of no help at all. Advice do not spread your classes out through the day. You will hate yourself for it. The classes are not that hard, most lower level classes just take a little effort. All of my English classes were easy, the professor basically handed out Bs if you turned in a paper. The Denton Night life consist of a store front club and gatherings at peoples apartments, also called parties. There is also Fry street which is the most over hyped street in the history of college towns. Its is literally a couple of bars, most you cant get in unless your 21. One bar allows you get in if your under 21, but you have to five dollars where 21 and up pays a dollar, Its ok if your 21 and up. Some people go to Dallas to club, but that's all you can do. Its not like you can pick up someone and convince them to come all the way back to Denton with you and let you bang them.A lot of people smoke cigarettes in Denton and around Denton. The Weed around Denton is amazing if you know the right people. If you don't know anyone you can get it from a dealer in your dorm probably. Acid is also available, I personally got the hook up from a server in my dinning hall. I don't roll, but you can get X pills from Clark hall if you don't have a hook up.
The Food in the dinning halls is decent. Kerr is the best. Victory also known as Champs Cafe is decent, there food can be a little bland though. Especially their pizza. The Mapple Hall is vegan I believe and West Hall has a small selection.
If you are looking for a job, create a resume and apply to as many jobs as you can, even if your not interested in them. Its hard to get an on-campus job.
The campus dies towards the late afternoon. It literally is a ghost campus.
All in all its a decent school. If you are on all loans though, I do not recommend it. Go to community college first! The tuition is steadily rising. Also wear a condom, one sure fire way to have a terrible experience is to get some random whore pregnant or to get pregnant yourself. The best thing for anyone once they get on campus to do is to talk to as many people as you can. Do not get comfortable with one group of friends that you only talk to. Branch out and network, it is college.
I know my review was sporadic, forgive me.
